Anlaf I always import from my youtube account I find that easiest.
Windows Movie maker 2.6 is an older version of Windows Movie Maker Live and its got more features and less bloatware.
if you open any video file in WMMaker live or 2.6 and then save the file it gives you the option to save it at a reduced size ie file compression .
You can either do that or select 'Export file' and then export it to your desktop or whatever and again you get the option to convert the file format and compress it etc which reduces its size by half or more.
it will still play the same size on youtube unless you compress it too much ie email size.
