you certainly haven't wasted anyone's time . Your post has actually been very informative. it just goes to show that not every problem requires lots of new parts to resolve non-start issues.

I'm willing to bet that the majority of electrical issues are due to poor connections one way or another.

Thanks everyone. I tried not to but was getting desperate and frustrated because I'm about to start a new job 2hrs away and it'll mean that I won't have time to work on it.

Now to ride it and get it fine tuned
