Daytona Battery Eliminator on an XS650?

Has anyone put a Daytona Battery eliminator on an xs650?
I have one on my SR500. Id like to run my XS-1 without battery.

Any thoughts?

The only way to eliminate the battery is to convert to a PMA. The stock alternator is a feild excited alternator and needs the battery to power the feild to excite stator and make electricity.

What's a PMA? I've also like to lose my battery if I can; I'm pretty interested in this post.
