XS650 Addict
1977 XS650 standard for sale. Setup as a "light cafe" build - it can easily be brought back to stock if desired. Approximately 8,000 miles. Located in Interlochen, MI - just 10 miles southwest of Traverse City, MI
Hate to get out of the game. It’s been fun. Put a lot of work into the ol XS, but no time to ride. Can’t stand to see her occupying a garage corner.
***White "Yamaha" lettering and "650" numbering are vinyl decals that are easily removed.
Bought in 2010 it has matching frame and engine numbers. I went through and did a frame-off rebuild. Here is a listing of the major things that have been done to the motorcycle:
Top end completely rebuilt to stock specs
New engine seals/gaskets throughout
Transmission/clutch inspected
Frame, tank, side covers, rims powder coated
Progressive fork springs
Cafe seat on stock seat pan
*have separate OEM stock seat
"Pamco" electronic ignition replacing the points
Single coil performance ignition
Electric starter removed - kick only
TX-750 swing arm and chain guard installed
*still have stock swing arm and chain guard
Needle bearings throughout
New cables throughout
New front master cylinder and brake lines
New exhaust system - mufflers changeable
Uni Air filters
Carbs gone though, cleaned and rejetted properly
New carb manifolds and diaphragms
New drive chain and sprockets
New shocks
New battery
New stainless steal spokes on stock rims
New tires
Polished aluminum steal headlight ears
Removed blinkers - frame mounts still there
“Light” clubman handlebars
Fork brace *have stock looking front fender
Passenger pegs Still there
Parts were sourced from the usual vendors we’re all familiar with as well as eBay. There's much more that’s been done to this thing over the last 8 years. Happy to answer any and all questions.
Stored indoors. Winterised properly - cylinders fogged, float bowls drained etc.
Bone cold she fires up in two kicks.
All removed/extra parts and tools/manuals specific to this bike go along with the sale. Lots of stock parts chilling in the basement.
