Got my engine all apart and was looking for advice on cleaning it and painting. Should I just clean it up in a parts washer and then clean with acetone after? And what kind of paint should I use? Anyone that has advice on what and what not to do would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hey CatRyder88,
Normal shop practice in the old days was just cleanup in solvent tank.
If you want it cleaner, or want to paint it, consider media blasting, like soda or glassbead.
But you'll have to wash the parts again to get rid of the media.
Try forum searches on 'blasting', 'soda', 'beading', 'paint prep'.
The only paints I would use would be the type that don't hold-in heat, like aircraft certified engine paints.
