Got my first nearing completion. Picture shows bike before disassembling prior to powdercoating. It is an ardcore frame. And I rephased the motor using a crank and cam Hugh built for me.

Thanks for all the positive comments, I'm looking forward to getting it on the road. The tires are an Avon speedmaster up front and a Shinko classic in the rear. The rims are the stock rims that I took apart and had powdercoated and I got the stainless spokes from Mikes and relaced them.

The fender is attached to the frame where it passes by each frame rail. Might be able to see in these photos.

That is a nice build up! I love the seat suspension! Very ingenious!

Not too sure if I like that exhaust brackety thingy though....

Very nice and clean looking! Also the retro paintjob is sweet!

For the exhaust bracket there is a plate on the back side that matches the contour of the pipes and the stainless spring holds them against it. Almost don't need the spring. Works really well and allows for expansion and contraction of the pipes. I can't claim the idea, but borrowed it from Ferrari.

Wow. Resurrected your own thread from almost 2 years ago. Great looking bike.

I too like the seat suspension and the paint job.

Congrats.

Nice work, Greg! I assume kick only? Where are you hiding the basic electric components?
And tell me about the tires - brand model size - thanks!

It is kick only. The Horn, fuses and ignition switch are mounted in a street rod coil cover re-purposed as an electrical box and is just behind the motor. I mounted the horn in the bottom of it so you can't tell it is there. The battery is one from 650 central and I made a compartment inside the starter, with a small door to make it easy to swap out. The horn relay is mounted inside the headlight housing and the horn button is located inside the clutch perch where the mirror used to screw in. I also have an ignition kill switch mounted up under the gas tank between the coils.

The front tire is an Avon Speedmaster 3.50 S19 and the rear is a Shinko Classic MT90-16.
