First timer, I finished my 71 resto-mod last year and have been riding it when the weather permits. Took it to some local shows, mostly Harley's, but the Antique division is pretty sparse. It vibrates so hard I have my key attached with a lanyard to keep it with me, but it runs like a bear. I have an 81 Special for a daily rider, and it's like night and day. The 81 is mild mannered, smooth and silky. Looking to upgrade the exhaust on the 71 with late model pipes and Mikes Dunstall reverse cones. Bought an Eastwood MIG 135 to learn how to weld sine the 81 was on its way to a cafe. So far I have made new fender brackets, a steering stop and reproduced the seat brackets for the 81. Cut the Duck tail off the back of the seat pan and will have the seat re-covered next week. I should be ready for another project in the fall of 15.

Dug up your XS1B from your album. Very nice restomod, well done!
