First XS build

What's up everybody. I'm doing my first XS build and I'm pretty excited about it so I figured I'd post it up here like somebody cares haha.


I picked up my stock XS650 in decent shape, titled and running, for $400.

I got a hardtail section, forward controls, fake oil tank and battery box, and drag bars from TC Bros. So far all I have done is the hardtail section.

I still have a couple questions I figured somebody here could help me out with. I'm having a problem figuring out a braking system with the disk brake and my forward controls. I was going to switch to the spoked wheels but so far I haven't been able to find any. Are there any products on the market right now for it? Or can anybody give me any ideas? Thanks a lot.

Look up GL choppers for a pivot or make your own. Someone here will have a good idea where to look for the brake cylinder.

Utilizing a drum brake rear wheel might make your life a bit easier. I like the stance of your bike!
