Flasher unit wiring for LED with cancellation feature

Hey I found this site ... and I think this will get around the selfcanceler that original nippondenso flasher with 3 prongs B, L, and C... what do you think.... look at diagram. will it work?? http://www.venturerider.org/forum/sh...ad.php?t=51356
Will this work for my 1982 xs650 heritage special???
I'm not electrically inclined ... need expert opinion...
also, how much brightness do I need for LED lights Tail/Brake, Signals, in Lumens.
