fork help please!!!

There are threads on here that describe taking forks apart. The 75 forks use a different damper rod than the later 35 mm forks. The top has a round end with flats ground on each side. there is a pine that goes through from one flat to the other. You need to make a tool that fits around the round end with flats on each side to match the damper or flatten the end of a steel rod so it fits in the hole in the top next to the cross pin. This will hold the damper rod so you can remove the bolt on the bottom.
