Fork Shaving/Rebuild/Lower

I'm looking to shave/rebuild/lower forks on xs650.
HHB is busy doing other stuff and can't accommodate.
Does anyone have suggestions on where I can send my forks to have this work performed.

If your going to run the front without brakes then it is not in your best interest for anyone to help you be a bigger risk to some one else on the road.............

That being said...............a hacksaw, flap disk on a grinder with a steady hand and good eye, problem solved.

You can do a shave, lower and still keep brackets for a brake.

Brian - there are a number of custom bike shops in Chicago your could look into. You shouldn't need an specific XS650 builder to do this work.

I always assume a shave means getting rid of the fender tabs and an unwanted brake tab.

An assumption on my part that the OP would be de-tabbing both front forks.............. usually a hard-tail with a 21" front wheel doesn't want to have an ugly brake system cluttering up a nice look
