Front wobble at speed in curves only

it's certainly possible to install the bearing outer cones so they are tilted a bit if they are not pressed fully home or they can even be forced out of round if they are pressed into a warped or not quite clean housing.

Finally resolved this problem. It continued even after I repeatedly fine tuned the steering bearings. After awhile I noticed the cupping on my rear tire, got it changed & presto - no more steering wobble. I think the feeling that the bars were looser when turning to one side was likely in my head, or at least not significant, and may have led me astray. Anyways, rear tire wear was the culprit.
