Here there.
So I finally got my ride out on the streets! But, of course, after 4 miles of riding I got stuck in neutral.
Reopened the crankcase and noticed the gear selector tang had been pushed completely off the star.
video here:

Is there an easy fix to this?
I assume the selector tang should NOT that much play?
Do I need a completely new shifter shaft?
Thanks!

Ah! I understood my issue upon further inspection.
I may be missing the E clip on the left side of the case to keep the entire shift shaft in place..

Bingo!

And once you're sure that clip is in place, check the lateral centering of the shift claw to the starwheel pins, like what you're doing in your video. Bend as necessary to get it to stay just behind the star.

Sharp cookie...

UPDATE
ok now I'm confused..
Is the E clip supposed to be visible from the open left side case behind the pedal shift?
Do you have to remove the chain tensioner to install the e clip?
Thanks!
