I am currently building an 82' xs650 I have completed all the fab work on it and now its time to wire the bike up. This being my first bike, I am having issues with the wiring end of this endeavor. I have the ignition unit wired up and had the reg/rect. wired but got nothing no spark if anyone can show me some love and throw some advice I would greatly appreciate it. I have looked at the wiring diagrams and have helped but I have been relectuant with the coil pick up wires as they differ from what is shown in the diagram. My wires are black, grey, and orange NOT blk/wht, grn/wht, and red.wht just wondering what goes to what.
I have to wait to bring home my voltmeter from work tomorrow to ohm out the ignition coil.
