Got another build on my hands- CAFE?????

Some not so exciting updates on this build. ( sorry about some of the pics, didn't have time to edit them)
Just your basic clean and tear down stuff, oh - and tons of parts ordering.
BUT... now that i have a new powdercoating setup, i'm gonna powder the hell out of these parts!

Using an XS750 tank for this one.

Also I got a new powder coat setup and oven so i set up a portable powder coat
booth also to be used as my paint spray booth. Filtered fans on both sides to remove some fumes. Should do the trick for now.

Spent part of the day today tearing it to nothing.
Then the rest of the afternoon blasting all the parts back to bare metal.
Should be one clean bike when finished.

All nice and bead blasted

Also, quick tip, when removing valves from head. Place head flat on bench, take a socket that covers the retaining holder, smack with dead hammer... voila! retainers pop out.

yes but when you have the tools why not use them? Plus that doesn't help with putting them back together, so still need the tool anyway, takes a few seconds and Voila nothing flying all over the place.:)

Started cleaning off the frame paint today, and also got the engine all nice and pretty.

Also just testing out some different powdercoat colors for the hell of it.
Did a few small parts to see what color i like... yeah... don't like these.

got my new (used) front wheel today.
Bead blasted the hell out of it. Cleaned a few nicks and scratches and
laid on the powder coat.

Spent the day cleaning and powder coating more parts.
The idea is going to be black and gold, so here are the finished parts with
gold and clear powder coat.

Not a fan of the 750 tank for cafes personally but I love your other bikes and the work your doing on this is up there with your usual high standard so I expect to have my opinion changed by the end of the build. Can't wait to see the final product!

Got my frame finally cleaned down to bare metal.
Also got my engine parts painted, just waiting on some internal parts now.
