Very good information. Mine is 1980 so I'm assuming the modifications had been incorporated at the factory

Yes. Mine is an early XS1B. It had the 6mm pump, upgraded it to the 8mm.

So, from my perspective, all y'all are running hi-volume pumps...

Stumbled across this, figured here was a good place for it.

If I'm reading this correctly, the oilpump should be delivering about 1 gallon-per-minute at 3000 rpms. Relief valve (in the sidecover filter) is set for 14 psi...
