Yeah I was amazed at how much was there. This bike will be totally different once this rebuild is done! I can't believe that the bike even ran ok seeing how much junk was in here.
Saw this in another thread! Sounds like your issue. It was written by retiredgentleman. so you can thank him
"I would bet on the head gasket passing oil from the camchain tunnel into each cylinder. You could remove the top engine support bracket and torque the large acorn nuts to 30 ft-lbs. However, its likely you will need to do a proper engine re-build. You will find very large amounts of carbon on the heads and pistons."
Do a valve job [at lest pull apart to check] and use the highest quality parts you can! also, pull the barrels and let someone 'mic' the cylinders/pistons. IF, if they're o.k. minimum should be hone and new rings, if out of specs, rebore w/new best quality pistons/rings..

I actually had read that post. I am assuming that I had a similar thing happening to my bike. I bought the bike at the end of september and only road it 2 or 3 times before deciding to tear the whole thing down.

I will be replacing as much as I can. I know that I will be replacing the cam chain, cam tensioner, cam guide, and valve seals. I will have the barrels checked out. I think the pistons are fine other than needing a good cleaning!
