easiest way is to check the serial numbers that are stamped right up by the front motor mount area then cross reference them in the chart in the ID your model thread. Of course that is assuming that they have never been opened up and messed with.
Check the serial numbers. AFAIK, they're stamped on the front below the cylinders. The prefix is likely going to be 447, the rest should be the same as the frame serial on the bike they came out of.
Not sure if that will give you enough information without the frame prefix (2FO etc.), but it's a start
Edit: DOH! Shouldn't have tried to go from memory. It doesn't have the engine series prefix like I thought, it's the same as the frame serial.
By the numbers on the cases you have 2 78 model (manufactured from Aug 77 to Jul 78) motors. 1 from a standard and 1 from a special. Internally they should be identical. The black one has been spray bombed black. It would have been like the other from the factory.
