Thanks all. I'm pretty sure they're 38's. But here's the pic's so you guy's can verify.
In the last pic, you can see the cross over barbs. They seem to have been glued in with something, and now they are loose after cleaning them for my rebuild. What could I use to tighten them back up, or glue them in so to speak. Red loc-tite maybe. Thanks.
All of the carb sets from the XS1 of 1970 thru the XS 650's of 79 the F, SF & 2F had BS 38's of one series or another. Your's appear to me to be of the 256 series of 70, 71 or 72
but I can't tell which specifically but; most likely the XS 2 of 72'.

Looks like you're doing a beautiful job of cleaning and rebuilding....the numbers stamped on the butterflys 120 or 125 will narrow things down a bit. BOL...Blue
