I really did look for this before I posted. I read somewhere that there is a kit that lets you change the front sprocket shaft seal without a lot of pain. Can't find it.

Is that the answer I need or is it not hard to pop the old one out and press in a new one?

It's not that difficult to do the normal, old fashioned way. Follow these tips, they really help .....

And make sure the sprocket nut is really tight or it'll leak, maybe not from between the new seal and sleeve but from through the sleeve.

Well, as it turns out, that wasn't the cause of the leak. Its the good old push rod seal. I replaced that seal and its bushing but I screwed up the seal and it still leaks! So now I need to buy another seal and go ahead an switch out the mulit-part push rod for the long single piece rod.

Always something!

Keeping an extra push rod seal or three isn't a bad idea. If you work on these bikes much you will need them.
