how to install new mike xs coil

Hi guys I have a new coil for my 83 but I cant figure out what wires goes where. I have an orange and a red/white wire. Wuldnt red go to positive and ora ge gotothe nebative terminal. My oldcoil didnt have a plus or minus on it so I could gooff of that

On the 80 up TCI coils, they are dual output coils. On the primary there is no positive or negative terminals because they are not polarity sensitive.
This means you can hook up the primary wires how ever it feels good to you.
