For the fork seals.. why not use seal puller? With something to protect the top of the fork, they seem to work great for me.

I have the seal puller as well and have used it on fork seals. The problem is that the hook end is very narrow and will rip right through a really stuck seal. The screwdriver blade is much wider and I feel it works better for this particular job.

Yeah it does rip them up, but if you're pulling them it's because you're replacing them so no big deal.
