Will my 1971 frame fit my 1978 motor im not sure? Was told to look into this issue? Maybe a fit issue??

They all fit. You just have to make sure that the mounts are for the correct frame year.
Always follow the frame year when getting the mounts, not the engine year.
You have a '71 frame so you will need to have early mounts.
