Hi guys! Below is a picture of the ignition coil I want to use on my '74 TX650. The bike ran when I took it off but stupid me I didn't click a picture of how the previous owner had it wired. This motor has a solid state module in place of the points, not sure what brand but it is also pictured below. If I remember correctly the black wire from the module was grounded, and the red module wire went to one of the coil input wires and the green module wire to the other coil input wire. It looks to me like it works like this - instead of providing a timed ground to each coil like a points setup, the module provides a timed 12V pulse to each coil and the coils are grounded to the frame. Have I got that right? Thanks for setting me straight.
