Is powder coating my head and jugs a bad idea?

I know what people say about powder coating there head and jugs ,
not to do it , but will it hold up? Have you done it, what does it look like after a year of abuse?



How much will the increased heat affect the motor, to what amount?

I have my one powder coat set up so , Im going to find out.

I'm used a 2 stage candy teal ,along with columbia chrome on the jugs , hope this isnt a bad idea because it looks great!

An article in The Horse MC showed that powder coating cages a significant amount of heat in heads and barrels, while paint does not. Smooth surfaces have less cooling area than surfaces with texture, like a blasted finish.
