I would trailer my bike to a central location, then ride from there...I do not wish to pile on the miles either...that's what the BMMER is for.

Speaking of burger joints...... there are some nice Mom and Pop shops along the Trans Canada Hiway that cook up some amazing grub....Zak's near Hadishville MB..... does a variety of meats such as beef, bison, elk and I am thinking deer (road kill)

I imagine other folks on this board know about the coulee area of Wisconsin. It is in the un-glaciated area in the southwest part of the state. East and south of LaCrosse is some fabulous riding on the county roads. There is a rally about 20 miles east in Westby on Labor Day weekend that a number of XS's attend.

I have never attended but I have the impression that it is a riding rally as opposed to a beer tent/seminar/vendor style rally. I have ridden the area once with the organizer of the rally and can vouch for the roads.
