I intend to try this on a XS500. Sometimes the starter skips and won’t turn over the engine, but if I disconnect the field exciter wires it starts fine. I think this may be another way to solve the problem. I know the chainwheel that drives into the sprag clutch isn’t perfect, I would replace it if I could source a new one but nothing available over here. Thanks again.
