On the centerstand, you might consider adding grease fittings to the pivots while it's off. Keeping the pivot bolts greased makes the bike go up on the stand so much easier .....
Make using your center stand easier where you always park your bike in the garage by a trip to the railroad tracks. Pick up a track plate. Its a heavy metal square that is about a half inch thick and has the shape of a cradle. Track plates are used to secure the train track to the railroad tie. Place it where your back wheel goes. Roll the back wheel into the heavy metal plate. It falls into the cradle and it won't slide away.
Only if it is very rusty -- Rustoleum Rust Reformer. It sticks to rust like nothing you ever saw, but won't stick to anything else. Best thing for any rusted metal where flat black is okay. Would probably make a good primer for other colors.
