hi guys .. well i threw the r.h. side cover back on yesterday,,,i didn,t tighten the screws up overtight incase i need to remove it again,,,i,ve got no oil in it at this time ,,, or spark plugs... so i gently kicked it .. and it came up a little ,,but did not return like it should ...and it sounded real geary noise when i kicked it ,,is that because no oil.. at the moment ... i was going to try the electric starter as i replaced the gear but i,ve clamped up the old bendix spring ... which to me was loose but in the preferred position...i clamped it in the vice ,then got it on the 4th gear .. then re- clamped it a little bit more and it felt tight ,,so i,m waiting for my battery to charge up ... do you think the kickstarter would would any better putting some oil in him ...i was not intending to run it as i,ve still got to sort out the points ,,, but i,m not in a panic... any advice would be greatly appreciated .regards oldbiker
