La Cucharacha build

Got the frame and swingarm back today. Was very nervous, as I ordered the color online, and wasn't 100% sure what it would look like. It's flat, where as the black is glossy. Didn't like the two together, but I think it makes the black pop even more. Super excited to start putting it back together. Like always, waiting for parts to come in the mail.

Piece of barnwood cherry. Got it from my friends that make barnwood furniture.

Had to weld this little piece of flat stock in to hold the studs.

Essentially a steel seat pan that will get foamed & wrapped that sits in a wood trim. Took a shot in the dark putting wood on a motorcycle. I know it's been done before, but their wood and MC skills & expertise far dwarfs mine.

If anyone asks I'll tell them it's symbolism. The wood, just like the bike has scars and imperfections from old age. Add time, craftsmanship, and love. Not only does it become beautiful again, but it becomes your own. So if anyone asks, symbolism [emoji23]
