Thanks bill, yeah I have no intention of doing long trips on it, great fun around town.

Some builders try to design flex into their rigid frames, some frames flex even if not intended but you can bet that frame won't flex. Looks good... and hard.

Work in progress, after its done getting painted, all I have to do is put it back together...:bike::bike::bike:

Well here it is folks - my fong inspired chop. All garage built at home - including the 277 rephase etc. Fully registered & on the road, brings a smile to my dial every time I ride it, electrics box still to be installed. Been to our local shop about 5 times & every time someone has pulled me aside to ask or talk about the bike, one guy even took some photos. Enjoy....

Hotdog.

Hotdog,
Could you tell me what rear fender you uaed. Your build is very cool.

I couldn't restore my '74 TX650A in the original cinamon brown it came in...TPO had re-painted it maroon, so I added the '77 XS650 decals, and they work quite well. Stock apart from the frlat bars, megaphones, and a horn that tin top pilots can actually hear. More to come soon, including a 230mm Grimeca four leader between the forks.

Cell phone pics! Will get some more photos soon, the are so many little details on this bike and I seem to keep finding new ones everyday...even though I've owned the bike for about 7 months now.

First post... I just bought this for 200 dollars, came with a peanut tank that is rotten so a new one from ebay will be ordered soon...

Don't know much about it other then i was told its a 4 inch over girder front end, the hard tail was done by a shop near me called LowRiders Kustom, it has a small rake in it and a 2 inch stretch. Motor turns over with good compression and spark.. Will post a full build thread soon

Here's my 78. Waiting on a few carb parts before she's ready for this year.
