License plate frame

Not sure it's legal but I trimmed down my plate a little. They're just so wide!
Any ideas for a cheap "custom" frame?

1/6" plates on both sides and do a dremel cut out on the top late bolt them together?

Huh. I thought this thread would be "how do i keep my plate from vibrating and breaking and falling off".

Haha that's why I suggested the 1/16" plate on the back, too. Extra support

Yeah, i did 1/8"x1" dual bars. It just gives the whole plate something to bolt to, lessens the stress on the top holes, and since it's heavier, doesn't vibrate in tune with the engine so much.
