hi , i have a xs2 , bs38 carburateur , of this loses fuel ....I think it is for the float or the needle valve, because the loss decreases a lot in march, I tried to beat the pan no result, I then dismantled the carburateur but it seems all right ... what to do?
Regards
Sorry for my english .....Italy

Manduria, check your petcocks for fuel flow, no blockages...

how much does the bike lean on the side stand? Does it leak on the center stand or if kept more upright? I keep small squares of 17mm plywood around and use them under the side stand so the bike sits more upright. it stops many fuel leaks.

No my bike its on central stand

The carbs float valve is NOT a fuel shut off valve. A petcock IS.
The float valve is a metering device. It maintains the proper fuel level in the float bowl while the engine is running. When the engine is not running the weight of the gas in the tank can push past the float valve. The pressure from heat build up on a tank as the bike sets out in the sun can push past the float valve. This is why they use petcocks.
Install a petcock or an inline fuel shut off.
