i was riding my 71 last week and all of the sudden the motor dropped to almost 0 power. it was still running but not very well. i was able to dog it back to my house and i started looking right away. I quickly realized that my left hand cylinder was not running. The exhaust coming out was cold. so i pulled the plugs and they looked ok. checked for spark on that cylinder and have spark. checked compression i have compression. i started it back up on the one cylinder for a minute and then pulled the carb and have fuel going into the cylinder or so i think. im stumped! if anyone has any ideas please feel free to send me some insight. oh yea. i have short exhaust, pod filters and up jetted carbs.

Did you do a compression check, or did you "thumb check" it? If you have low compression it can prevent combustion from occuring. Check it with a compression tester.

150 is a good, 130 hot is kinda acceptable, It should run on pretty much anything over 100
