Master cylinder reservoir o ring replacement

After a fair amount of digging I haven't been able to find a source to pick up a new o ring that fits between the reservoir and m/c body, which was a definite leak source. Any idea where I can pick a new one up? 78 650e, btw. I'll go out and measure it later today, but I was surprised this isn't offered with any of the rebuild kits.

You might find one at a tractor supply store or a place that deals with hydraulics. Hydraulic cylinders come in many sizes. One of their O-rings might fit.

Many times they leak simply because they're all grungy. Brake fluid seeps and dries, seeps and dries, creating a crusty build-up. Cleaning it and the mating surfaces may do the trick.

Thank you both. I'll check out tractor supply and see what they have, and if no luck I'll try and reuse the ring I have now that all the old dried fluid has been cleaned up.

For anyone who is looking, the ring is 45mm in diameter and 1.5mm thick, round not squared
