Guys -
Getting closer ! I installed Mikes oil 'cooler' today - basically just to have a sightly better filtration element. Regardless, it doesn't sit flush with the engine cover...I assume this is how it should be ?
Also - what's the torque spec on the engine cover bolts ?
Im getting closer ! Got the push rod bushing and oil seal installed - as well as replaced the output shaft seal. Im going to install Hugh's PMA kit now....

Thanks !
Steve

You got it. It sits proud of the case to bring the oil into the airstream.

I would never go more then about 80 inch pounds/7 ft pounds on those bolts. Make sure you use the little copper sealing washers under the bolt heads on the filter bolts.

Honestly I've never put a torque wrench on the engine cover bolts. Use a t-handle 5mm allen key and tight-is-tight.

Maybe I'll check mine for fun and see how close they are. 6-7 foot pounds / 80 inch pounds sounds about right.

That is correct for the filter cooler, and they work great. I have checked temperature before and after installation and the engine runs cooler by about 20 degrees F.
