Casting first attempt. Been over a decade since I have done this, made a few mistakes with my sprue & riser placement.. Got a good idea how to get it right on the next one.

Then on to a few more parts….

I like em brass knuckle kick start pedals. if it don't start knock it out! just kiddin mate.
I like do it yourself. When I was in highschool I made hurst shifter handle Knockoffs.

Thanks Guys for the good words.

Visual Impact - Like anything there is a set up cost. Furnace, cope & drag, sand mix, other tools are fund around the home. Then there is gas & scrap metal.

You can make everything at home with some skills, which most builders have.

Cast iron runs a bit hotter for most home purposes but aluminium, bronze & brass are do able.
 
I definitely want to get a home set up going some day. It looks like it would be a really fun way to spend some free time. Keep posting what u make. Very cool!
