Need a little help

Might be a stupid question but here goes
IF ya look at the picture below
see the set screw in the center of the banjo nut?
( as indicated by the black arrow)

question is
screwed all the way in?
or flush as shown in the picture?

That's the oil filter bypass valve. It's adjusted to a set pressure at the factory. Best to leave it be.

If that screw has been tampered with and the original setting is unknown, approximately flush with the surface has caused no noticeable bad affects in my own experiences
