This is my first build. It is a 76xs 650 but after I ordered my carb rebuild kits I started the carb cleaning and believe these carbs are 78's :banghead: I have read all the guides & printed them out for reference. just looking for conformation. I just finished a pma swap and a pamco and this is the only thing keeping me from riding. Thanks guys

Better check each jet carefully to make sure everything matches the bodies. Those darned POs do the goofiest things.

The late 78-79 carbs the needl is held in by a clip that needs long nonse snap ring pliers to get out.
The earlier carbs used a large thick plastic washer and the return spring.
The needle is a 502 and the needle jet is a Z-2.

Leo you are correct. All my jets are matching and the same (thanks gggary) as what came in my rebuild kits with the exception of the needle so I think I will use the old needle again replace everything else and do a good cleaning.
