Need help with paint designs!

I have an 82 xs650 and i am making it into a street tracker and i need some pain job ideas. I want something unique but still easy on the eyes. My buddy wants me to go satin black. I think that is over used and doesn't look that great. If you have any ideas please feel free to share. Also if you have a bike i would love to see it. Don't worry i would never copy someone's exact bike. It's like copying sometimes exact tattoo. Just something you don't do.
