Need some help please with tire selection.

Hello all I just picked up a 1982 xs650 Heritage Special (well two of them actually). The good one I got running with some minor work ( fuel flush, plugs, battery, etc) but it needs rubber, big time.

The tires on it are yokohamas front says 3.50-19 Y990, rear is Y987 130/90-16.

I have found the rear size, but the front size is a bit confusing (at least for me)

I found a 100/90-19 (57H) Shinko 712 Front Motorcycle Tire
Will that work?

Can anyone recommend some tires that will be good cruisers but not break my very limited bank.

The 712 Shinkos you found are supposed to be as good as the normal fare, for about half the price. I'm going to get them for my next tires pretty soon. I doubt you can beat it.

Ive run Shinkos on a few bikes - great tire, better then their price would let you think.

Any idea if that is the proper size front tire for my bike?
