New member from STL

Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself - my name is Mike and I'm from the St. Louis area. I picked up a 73 TX in pretty good condition last week and hope to have it running soon! I am not new to wrenching, but motorcycles are a relatively recent interest of mine. I am also restoring a 71 Bridgestone TMX 100 along with the 650, and I already know I will learn quite a bit from this site

Nice looking bike. I am in the STL area as well, put about 100 miles on my 72 today. What are your plans for the bike? are you keeping a mostly stock look?

Since it's a TX and harder to find, I would prefer to keep it pretty close to stock. Probably do an exhaust, different filters and just some cleaning to the engine - maybe an upgraded electrical system, as mine is sort of funky at the moment. As for the rest of the bike, new tires, find another side cover, hidden ignition switch, a cleaner front fender, and an upgraded tail light.
