Hello . I want to build a street tracker based off an xs, any advice or tips will be welcome. I have read that the 1974-80 bikes are best to start with, any opinions on this? Still looking for a bike to use for my build, kinda think I will be ahead if I wait for the right one instead of just jumping on the first one I find. I have a few bikes, one in particular that I would like for mine to be like. Now to find all the stuff. Would really appreciate if any of you more experienced guys would be willing to take questions as they come up.

The answer may come down to the rear shock positioning. Check out some images and post a pic of what you're looking to emulate. '77 and newer for upgraded forks and the apex of development, aside from the EPA improvements and the attempts at idiot proofing for safety.............

Looks to be built on a what we would call a 'standard' frame as opposed to a Special.
