I build a lot of motors and have showed guys who had come to my shop (when I was open) how to break down the top end of a motor and put it back together. Buy a note book and plastic bags and a good phone that takes pictures. Top end is easy if you take your time . Now bottom end is a little more technical and putting it back together requires tools. So I would start on the top end and maybe rebuild clutch and call it a day.
If you have any questions you can always contact me at DADDYGCYCLES@YAHOO.COM and I will give you my number if you get stuck or have questions.
Good luck with your rebuild its cool that you want to try it.
