I was doing some work at a friends house and he gave me a welder I think lol I’ve never seen any welder like this and how to use this electric trap

I found the answer to it sorry it doubled posted it was an old welder a carbon arc welder thanks

Sounds like a carbon arc brazing kit.
They're not as precise or controllable as brazing with oxy-acetylene, but with some practice it's possible to lay down some decent brazing.
The carbon rods are getting harder to find, but the huge advantage to the system is not needing to have bottles of gas on an expensive rental or purchase contract.
