Are the two drain plugs the same? I have a magnet in the rear one and need to replace the front one as it is very tight and have already rounded it off some as the wrench slipped while trying to loosen the plug on the lift. I am going to apparently have to wait to pull it after I get the motorcycle down.

webbrs,

The front drain plug is in the sump filter plate and there is a danger that you will damage the very small mounting bolts for that plate if you try too hard to remove the drain plug.

The best thing to do is go on EBay and find a used sump plate with the drain plug already removed. Change the sump filter while you are at it.

Yes, they're identical (same part, same part #) and could even be swapped.
