had the bike out for a run on the weekend .fine on the way out cruising at around 75
for about an hour ..got to where i was going started up the bike to head home dark grey smoke starts poring out of the right cylinder every time i accelerated ,limped it home but noticed there didn't seem to be much compression loss ..

apart from the obvious ( rings ) any other possibilities

277/ 750 heiden head

Could be the head gasket passing oil into the one cylinder. Is the oil level in the engine dropping quickly?

It really doesn't matter what the exact problem is; the only way to correct it is to do a top end re-build. How many kms on the engine?

plugs one is close to perfect the other is very oily
yep as soon as i started up it it was smoking badly on acceleration
oil level seems to be fine as its gone down in relevance to the smoking
checked compression cold no carbs
left side 156, right side161 ( aka smokey) ok compression ??

You could try re-torquing the head studs.............large nuts to 30 ft/lbs. If that does not help, its either drive it as a smokey or spend some money on a top end re-build.

judging by want i just found
and the compression looks like and oil ring
