Pamco ignition problems

Pete,
1.I did not leave the battery connected from last time.
2. After looking things over, i relized that the 1st time i did however hookup the reg/rec backwards -to+ :doh:
3.The 2nd time i did have the terminals correct and it still caused some sparkage?

yes the 1st time i hade the + grounded :doh: the 2nd time i hade it hooked up correctly - grounded

I'm still pondering what your problem could be. I kinda guessed that you had the battery hooked up backwards when you fried the first reg / rect, but now I don't know, if you are sure that you did not have it hooked up backwards when you connected the new reg / rect? I am not that familiar with Hugh's setup, so now that we know it is not the PAMCO, I would suggest that you change the name of this thread to "Hugh's PMA Reg / Rect problem" or start a new thread to get Hugh's attention.
