Please help quickly

Question...... The three white wires that go from the regulator/rectifier to the alternator......does it matter how they are connected? I lost track of which went to which.

Nope, like most 3-phase stuff it doesn't matter which connects to which.

Here is a basic diagram. Just lost track of which was which. Should have been more careful.

It does not matter when the 3 phase alternator feeds into a rectifier, because the 3 AC phases are changed over to DC.

Where it does matter, is with 3 phase motors. If you interchange 2 phases, the motor will go backwards.

Yep, that is how to reverse a 3-phase induction motor. Do it at the heaters, so you won't have to undo the tape and wire nuts
