Why? Being more visible in traffic is generally a good thing IMHO......
It is a good idea. I don’t really have a reason other than I think I usually have the best luck starting it on the first kick when it’s off. And I ride away without turning it on. Lol
I’ve realized that we could have flashing lights on us, and it still wouldn’t make a difference.
Most states require you ride with the headlight on.
Riding without the headlight on could be why your reg/rec went bad. Without the headlight on the reg/rec had to work harder to keep the voltage down. The harder it works the hotter it is. Heat burns things out.
I’ll give it a try this go-around. TC bros is going to warranty everything.
If she dies again, I’ll get a good reg.
Is there a way to isolate my ignition from high voltage? The system is fused, but I’d hate for the new reg to go out and cook my ignition in the process again
Haven't tried this, but seems like it should work, this one is a in a decent case and features an LED voltmeter!
Not sure if 5 amps is enough for the coil... but since the coil is only powered part of the time, maybe?
Lol. Regulating the regulator.
Dang that looks kind of big. I tried really hard to hide what electronics I have.
I might just put a nice reg on it and call it done. Riding season is short in Michigan.
I’ll keep searching around. Thanks guys
Love it or hate, she is what she is and I don’t want it any different.
I like the look that high pipes give but would have to have mufflers..............
Your pics don't come through on my computer so I have to ask, Did you put your reg/rec inside of a fake oil tank? If so the lack of air flow around the reg/rec will can overheat the reg/rec.
No. It’s mounted in stock location.
